EDU 1139: Kenya Village Experience

  • Participants will travel to Kenya where they will stay in the rural village of K’Opudo, Dr. Ochieng’s home

  • Participants will have two projects: an independent and informal study to learn some aspect of Kenyan culture and another of service, working at the village learning center

  • Participants will travel to various sites including: the Equator, Nairobi animal national park, and Lake Victoria (the largest African lake) etc.

  • The study trip will be led by  Profs. Ochieng' K'Olewe and Mona Kerby

 

Cost: $2500

 

This amount includes round-trip airfare to Kenya, VISA, any travel lodging, and meals. 

It does not include immunizations and souvenirs.

 

  • $500 deposit required at registration

  • $1500 of balance due by Oct. 15th.

  • $500 due by Nov. 15th.

Payments to be made at Bursar's office
